ABVP Protests Outside Asansol South Police Station, Demands Immediate Arrest

Asansol: Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest outside Asansol South Police Station, expressing anger over the alleged assault of a female student in West Bengal.

 The protesters criticized the police administration for failing to arrest the accused within 24 hours, as demanded by the student organization. Addressing the gathering, an ABVP student leader called for immediate police action and strict punishment for those responsible.

 The leader also appealed against giving the issue a regional or linguistic colour, urging people not to divide the movement along Bengali-Bihari lines. He said the focus should remain on ensuring justice for the victim and strengthening the safety and security of female students.

 The protest concluded with a call for swift action against the accused and greater accountability in cases involving crimes against women.
