Veer Baal Diwas is a day to commemorate the martyrdom of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji- Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji, Sahibzada Jhujhar Singh Ji, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji, Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji. Our school celebrated this entire month with great enthusiasm and reverence remembering the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas.
Students and teachers of Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School paid tribute to the martyrs by organising various activities. Students made charts on the life of Chaar Sahibzadas as well as drawings and sketches were also done.
Students of classes 3 to 6 were shown the movie of Chaar Sahibzade, which really touched the hearts of the young children.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School shares the spirit of bravery,courage, strength and sacrifices on the occasion of *Veer Baal Divas* with 245 under privileged children from in and around Durgapur and Bankura. A Drawing competition was organised to promote competitiveness and a Movie on Chaar Sahibzaade was also shown to embed the sense and understanding of fearlessness,faith, conviction and selflessness in the young hearts. Essay writing ,poetry recitation , Shik History Quiz was also organised for students to create awareness. It was then followed up with community lunch and langer seva.
The celebration of Veer Baal Diwas in our school was a grand success. The programme helped to create awareness among the students about the sacrifices of Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji and Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and inspired them to emulate their bravery and sacrifice.
